 Gautam Adani has came from a long way from a dropout student to the India's top billionaire's list. Adani was born on 24 June 1962 in a Jain Bania family to Shantilal and Shanti Adani in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. His father was a textile merchant. And Gautam was educated at Sheth Chimanlal Nagindas Vidyalaya School in Ahmedabad. He He dropped out after second year because he was interested in business but not of his father's textile business. He wanted to start of his own.

In the early 1990's the place was just a barren land before Mundra Port in Gujarat and now it has been transformed into India's largest private port, handling over 100 million tonnes of cargo each year. He later managed his brother's factory and when he turned 23 , he started his own own import company. In Australia, and reach of the scenic Oueensland, here the group operates Australia's northernmost coal port, Abbot Point Port. About a four -hours drive from here, we reach the town of Moranbah. Here in this peaceful town, Adani Group has completed a 65 Mega Watt solar project with over 247,000 solar panels.
