Mostly students go through financial problems in their college life and they try very hard to save money but they fail. So why do you think this happen? Do they really save money or just pretend to save and then suffers from it. What does saving mean actually? Saving money means living below your needs which usually many of the students don't follow it. So to avoid this problems I have written down some great tips to live college life without worrying.
1. Carry your Lunch with you.
As a student it is very important to be healthy so that you can be fully focused on your studies. And most of them don't carry their luch and eat outside in restaurants and in canteens. Eating everyday in restaurant may cause your health along with your studies. By carrying your own lunch from home, you can save money and can also health will be maintained.
2. Don't Showoff
Many guys are likely to do showoff in college like they will buy expensive things like bikes and iPhones to impress their friends or to make them jealous. But they don't understand that they are wasting their precious time and money on it. Instead students should value their parents money and should learn some high income skill or they can do some side hustle and then they can showoff them on it.
3. Go by Walking
Nowadays students are really fond of personal bikes to go to college and their vehicle needs fuel. Again it is wastage of money and fuel with air pollution. Walking is the best way to save money of fuel and you will also improve your fitness through it. Or the best way is to use public transport in cheap if your college is far from home.
4. Use Discount Coupons
Get your hands as many as coupons as you, and use them to reduce your grocery bill. This coupons makes lots of difference in saving money. If we buy things from coupons we get huge discount on branded things. And hence money can be saved here too.
5. Make List Before Shopping
Having a list of to-buys lets you prioritise your spending on what you really need at the moment. You are also likely to stick to the aisles and sections where your items are located instead of exploring other areas where plenty of great products are waiting to be discover. Also it's saves your time and energy. And as above use discount coupons mostly.
6. Don't drink and smoke
Students should be away from alcohol and smoking because as we know already it's injuries to health. In most cases when students complete secondary education they think that they have done it, they had got freedom and they can do anything they want. So they start drinking and smoking along with bad circle. They think as they are macho man, but in reality there are destroying themselves. So be aware of this and always keep in mind that there are big hopes on you from your parents. Therefore by avoiding drinking and smoking you can save your money and life as well.
7. Earn some Extra Income
If your course allows enough free time for you to take on a part-time job, grab one to earn a bit of extra income. University towns often have regular opening for retail staff, waiting staff and bar staff. If for whatever reason if it isn't an option for you, there are plenty of money making opportunities to be found online like digital marketing, content creater, graphic designer, YouTuber or you can work on freelancer.
8. Don't buy new Textbooks.
Textbooks are surprisingly expensive. Before you joined the campus just check out that if u can borrow books from a fellow student or from the univerysity library. If not, then you can rent them or you can buy them second hand. You can also buy or rent used textbooks at Amazon.com. It doesn't matter if the textbooks are old or new but the knowledge which we get from it is always precious.
9. Sell What you no Longer use or Need.
There are plenty of stores and websites and apps where you can sell your used clothing, furniture, tech items or old textbooks. So that it's not wastage of anything. There is popular app like OLX. com where you can sell things easily.
10. Party at Home.
There is no need to waste thousands of dollars on partying in expensive restaurants and in hotels. Instead you can take permission from your parents and then you can make barbeque or any other item which you want. You can enjoy in your backyard of your house. Also it will be precious time for you. So here you have saved lot of money by avoiding restaurants and hotels.
So these are 10 ways by which we can save many in our college life. I think you should try these 10 tips atlest for 3months and you can notice the changes in your day to day life.
