The Forest Man of India

Jadav Payeng

In this tremendous world there are lots of people who live for thier needs and for themselves. They don't care for others or for humanity. And there are some other types of people who care for others more than themselves. They help others and also save environment. But there are very few people who help others without knowing them or anyone, they don't like to be on screen or they don't really want the credit for help. And they are called as "Unsung heroes"

Yes, Unsung heroes who help and cares for others without knowing them or anyone. We are going to know about one of the unsung hero who is from India known as "The Forest Man of India" and his name is 'Jadav Payeng'. He is born in Jorhat which is in Assam in 1963. Over the course of several decades, he has planted tended trees on a sandbar of the river Brahmaputra turning it into forest reserve. So the forest is called 'Molai' forest after him. The Molai forest is located near Kokilamulk of Jorhat,Assam, India. He has planted so many trees that his area encompasses an area of about 1,360 acres/550 hectors , and its really huge. He has given also given rise to wildlife in his forest such as 5 Bengal tigers, 105 elephants and diverse flora and fauna. After doing such greatful activity in Mumbai our Former President A.P.J Sir Abdul Kalam gave him the title "Forest Man of the". And in 2015 he was also honoured with Padma Shri. Such a proud movement after coming from an indigenous Mising tribe of Assam.

The main thing is that he still plant the trees and help to keep environment safe. He still believes the world can be saved but also never doubted that small group of people of thoughtful, committed citizens can't change the world, indeed, it's the only thing. People like this change the veiw to look at the world unlike other people. Jadav Payeng is such an inspiration to the whole world which give us message that "You don't need education to change the world" Salute to our Unsung hero 'Jadav Payeng'.
